Why do you ask for my name and email when I am submitting a success story?

We ask for your name and email in case we need to contact you about your submission. Your name and email is not displayed to the public. We have a strict privacy policy that you can review. If you are still concerned about your privacy, you may submit your success story without your name or email address.

How should I write my story to protect my privacy?

If you want to protect your privacy or the privacy of those in your story, do not use real people's names within the story. Also, do not include the name of the company where you are employed within the story. Leave out all personal details to shield your identity. If you choose to use a fictitious name, we will add this statement to the end of your story, “Fictitious name is used to protect the privacy of the job seeker."

Why do you ask for so much information? All I want to submit is my job success story.

The information we ask allow us to 1) categorize your story to make it easier for people to find, 2) contact you if we have questions about your submission or 3) identify job search trends. The most critical information to submit is your job success story, the title of your story and your advice to other job seekers. All the other information is optional.

Where do the names in the recruiter directory come from?

The names in the recruiter directory are provided by visitors to the website. The recruiter directory is a community-supported effort where job seekers can assist other job seekers by submitting names of recruiters.

Should I ask the recruiter if they would like to be included in the recruiter directory before submitting their contact information?
