Successful job hunting isn’t always easy and there is no one right answer. What works for one person may not work for another. The good news is, even in times of high unemployment, people are getting hired... people just like you. As a job seeker, you may be wondering:
- Why are other people getting jobs and not me?
- What are they doing that I should be doing?
-
Should I be using job boards?
- How can I change careers?
- How can I re-enter the workforce after not working for years?
The stories in this website are based on true accounts. They’re meant to recharge your job search... to give you new ideas... to allow you to learn from the success of others... to give you hope and inspiration.
Our Story
JobSuccessStories.com is a result of being unexpectedly laid off from my job. During my job search, I was struck by the generosity of people and their offers of assistance. I knew my friends and colleagues would gladly help; what surprised me the most was having people I hardly knew want to help me find a job.
This inspired me to want to help others along the way. I found it satisfying to be able to help a fellow job seeker by giving them advice or passing on a job lead. I wanted to find a way to give back a little of the help I’ve been given. If you’re a job seeker, I hope you find the stories interesting and helpful. If you have a job, consider taking a few minutes to share your own success story and pass on your wisdom.
