Look for Your Opportunity

Success Story

I found the company name through the internet while I was searching for start-up companies that received financing or expansion recently. I found limited information about the company on the internet along with a local office address, so I decided to do a walk-in one next day for an informational interview hoping to learn more about the company. I walked in to ask about the company and happened to meet with the COO greeting me. I gave my 40 second elevator pitch and asked a couple of questions. He invited me in to chat for about half an hour and then a follow-up with his general manager. I went home that night and emailed them thank you notes for spending time with me along with my qualifications, resume, and what I could contribute to the company.

They called me back several days later and asked if I could come in to talk to their CEO along with several other people the following week. I went in for the interview and got the initial offer letter the following Monday (less than two weeks from the initial meeting). Basically, I had an informational interview that turned into a job offer within two weeks.
